Rose's Favorite Toys

Rose LOVES the IPAD, phones, and the remote. If she sees any of them are near her she will whine until she gets it. She loves tapping the IPAD and watching as the screen changes. She gets quite exited talking and throwing her arms up while she is playing with them.

6 Sweet Months

Rose from April 4th- May 4th you...

Started sitting up! You prefer this way to laying down and will play and play with your toys all day long!

Weigh 19.5 pounds

Continue to roll over when you are reaching for something

Started scooting on your bottom while sitting up. You swing your arms back and scoot its the cutest thing.

Have started to really notice Ron. You love looking at him and petting him.

You are wearing 9 month and 12 month clothes!

Are still eating 6 ounces every 4 or so hours

Are  loving your cereal and baby food, especially fruit. You are not so sure about the vegetables.

Mimic me when I blow raspberries or make a high pitch noise

Still get up once a night

Love going on walks

LOVE watching Barney, Mickey Mouse, and anything on Disney Jr. You really get this from mommy. I guess I watched too much TV while I was pregnant. You stare at the TV, laugh, and talk to Barney and Mickey.

You are a great whiner and rarely cry.

Swing your arm while I'm feeding you or you are trying to go to sleep.

EVERYTHING goes into your mouth!

Love playing with the IPAD I downloaded a few baby apps and you like those, but really just like tapping it and watching as the screen changes. When I have the IPAD you whine for it.

Love our phones and the remote controller- Your favorite toys aren't toys!

Jump like crazy in your jumper seat at mammam's and grandma's house.

Still love your baths, jungle, and bouncy seat.

Are still teething, we are waiting for a tooth to finally poke out-I think it will happen any day now

Started using a sippy cup, you mostly just play with it

Laugh and talk to mommy and daddy

Reach your arms out for me...I so love this!! It makes my heart melt every time you do it.

Get so excited to see mommy and daddy in the morning or after work. You smile right away and swing your arms with excitement.

Had your first 1/2 Birthday! A tradition we were excited to start!

Happy 1/2 Birthday!

Rose,
I can't believe you are already 1/2 a year old! The time has gone by so quickly! You are the greatest gift I have ever been given and I thank God everyday for you. I love watching you grow and change each day as you discover new things and new things you can do. I love your dark brown eyes and beautiful smile. You make everyday amazing and fun! I knew my life would change when I had kids, but I never knew how truly amazing and wonderful it would be. You are so happy and sweet and I am so lucky to spend each day with you. I love when you hold your arms out for me or hold on to me tight. I love when we are sitting and playing and turn to me with your arms wide open and fall into me, like you are giving me a hug. I love you so much! Happy 6 months sweet girl!

A Perfect Night!

After a busy weekend it was nice to enjoy the evening as a family. We had a great dinner and went to DQ to get in one last blizzard of the month :) We had fun playing and laughing with our sweet girl. Rose even had a couple visitors tonight, Aunt Shelby and Grandpa.

The past week Rose has really enjoyed her books! We have tons of them and she loves flipping and looking at the pictures. 

 The other night we gave Rose a sippy cup to occupy her time while we ate. I thought she would just play around with it, but she actually got the hang of it so I had to go and grab the camera!

This past Sunday I had Sara's bridal shower at my house. I was a little nervous, for my house is tiny, but it went well. I had so much fun with the burlap and purple theme and loved using ball jars. Here are some pictures of the decor. I was busy with Miss Rose during the shower so do not have any pictures :( We are all looking forward to Sara and Scotch's big day this August!

Lazy Weekend

This was the first weekend in a while that we were able to just stay home and hang out as a family. I absolutely love weekends with Rose. It is so fun to play with her, watch her play, feed her, and nap with her.  Rose spent a lot of time playing in her crib (one day maybe she will sleep in it) in her saucer, and on the floor in her room and the family room. We also spent a little time cuddled on the couch watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, her new favorite.

I can't get over how happy she always is. She just loves everything and everyone. She rarely cries, but has mastered the whine. She has started to hold out her arms when she wants to be held, I love this! 

The past 3 Sundays Kevin and I have gone to Dairy Queen. All 3 of us drive after dinner and Rose always falls asleep. We have a little 30 minute TV show and ice cream date when we get home. I am loving this new tradition of ours. I love every minute I spend with my awesome husband and beautiful daughter. I am truly so blessed :)

Reading :) I had 3 books out and she picked God is good all the time :)

It is getting very difficult to take pictures of her. She is very busy and constantly moving around. She is not smiling here, but to me is just the cutest thing!  

This weekend Rose spent time with her Uncle Scotch and Aunt Sara. We always love when they are in town :)

Weekend in Indy

This weekend we went to Indy for a wedding. Rose stayed with Kevin's sister Colleen and her girls. I just love watching Gabbi and Maddi with Rose. They love her so much and never get tired of playing with her.  They are great at taking turns and are so wonderful with her. Thank you so much for watching her! We can't wait to see you guys again in a couple of weeks!

I love watching Rose sit and play. She is growing up so fast! She is into everything, reaching and grabbing it until it goes into her mouth. Its funny how her favorite toys, aren't toys. She loves playing with her wipe refill container. I don't know if its the sound or what but she loves it. Last night I got out her toy that spins the balls around and she was mesmerized. It has a handle on it so she loved picking it up, swinging it around, and trying to stick it in her mouth. These are basically the same pictures below, but her face is so adorable in all of them I couldn't decide.
