Rose from July 4th to August 4th you...
Are one busy active girl! You crawl and move everywhere! You crawl mostly on your feet not knees. You are a super fast crawler too, its had for mommy and daddy to keep up with you.
You are standing with No hands! You can squat down and stand up easily with no help. You are scared to try walking though, you squat down and crawl when you want to go somewhere.
Say dada, daddy, hi daddy, doggie, and kind of mom (I think thats what you are saying :)
Are happy to go to anyone...you give the best greetings to daddy, mommy, grandma, anyone you see.
Still Weigh 22 pounds and are 27 inches long. You are still in the 95th percentile for weight and 90th for height
Still HATE getting changed and dressed, its terrible! You yell, scream, and roll over. Its a very difficult task and sometimes takes 2 people.
While I am working on the floor you crawl up to me, pull yourself up, and give me a hug and kiss (I just melt each time you do this)
Started pointing to everything, it is the cutest!
Are wearing some 12 month (these are getting a little tight) and a lot of 18 month clothes!
Only eat about 20 ounces of formula a day, you do not like having a bottle during the day- you will only eat 2 of 6 ounces I make.
Eat oatmeal for breakfast and baby food for lunch and dinner. We have been giving you more table foods. You love cheese, bread, bananas, pizza, grilled cheese, anything mommy and daddy eat.
Sleep in your crib-FINALLY!!
Still get up at least once a night for a bottle. A couple of times you cry out and I lay you back down and put your paci back in then you usually fall back asleep
Oh my do you LOVE Barney! I will ask if you want to watch Barney and you will turn towards the TV. You are mesmerized by him and love the songs. You swing your arms and jump off the floor when you hear the theme song.
Pull my hair while I'm feeding you or when you are tired.
Love the remote controls and my phone. You even try using them...you try to put the phone to your ear and remotes toward the TV -- maybe I'm crazy but I swear you do this!
Love BOOKS- you love the wheels on the bus and your peek a boo book
Know your toys...if I ask you where your baby is or the purple monkey you will crawl towards them
If I ask you to give your animals/toys kisses you will, but you are selective with people (I think you are a little stubborn! We ask you to give mommy and daddy kisses and you won't! But you do it often when YOU want to)
Clap your hands
Yell at me when I take you away from something you want, but shouldn't be getting into
Have learned how to escape your play area. You will crawl under and onto the pillows to escape and practically dive through the little obstacle course.
Crawl and pull yourself on mommy or daddy and put your arms up to be held
Had a couple of sleep overs at grandma and poppy's house
Love looking out the window
Love doors, you enjoy sitting on the floor and swinging them open then close (you just noticed ronny's cage and really like this door)
Easily crawl up one step and would rather crawl and play in the dining room, hallway, and kitchen than with your actual toys
Look How You've Grown!
Dear Rose,
This is sad for me to write because today is the last day of our summer together. I have cherished and loved every minute of it. We have had so much fun playing in our PJs, going on vacation, hanging out with family, and many play dates. Next summer break seems and is so far away, but I am thankful for teaching and the many days off I do get and will get to spend with you. This is much harder than I anticipated, and much harder than before when I went back to work. You are just so stinkin cute, funny, sweet, and loveable. I have loved watching you explore and do new things almost daily. Since I have been home for the summer you began crawling, standing, talking, waving, and clapping. Everyday will seem like Christmas morning when I get to see you after daycare or mammam and pappap's house. I know you will love playing with the other kids and I will love my kiddos, but I will miss you so much each day! Thank you for making this the best summer I've had. You are truly the most amazing thing to ever happen to me. I love so much being a mom, your mom!
I LOVE you sweet girl!
Love,
Mommy
(Not going to lie, crying a bit as I'm writing this!)
