An Amazing Day

The day began with intense contractions, but ended with my sweet girl in my arms. It was such a wonderful feeling knowing that I would finally get to meet my baby girl, it was just a matter of hours now not months or weeks. I remember being in pain, screaming, the doctor grabbing my hand to feel her head, and finally seeing Rose for the first time. After she arrived she was placed on me for skin to skin for an hour. She was so alert, staring at me the whole time, it was an amazing feeling meeting our little miracle. After the hour Rose finally was able to meet the rest of her family. She met her dad, grandma, poppi, mammam, pappap, busha, grandpa, aunt Shelby, aunt Patty, and cousin Cullen.

I am so grateful for my wonderful husband. He remained by my side encouraging me, listening to me scream, and also took AWESOME pictures of Rose, which he knew was very important to me :) I loved seeing Kevin hold and talk to Rose for the first time. I know he is going to be a great dad, I'm sure our Rose will be a daddy's girl.

I am also thankful for sharing this experience with my mom. She was also right by my side the whole time. Times like these make me very thankful for living close to family.

Below are the awesome pictures Kevin took. I am so thankful he captured all of these moments.

Rose,
Meeting you was one of the best days of our lives. You came out so alert with a full head of hair and almond shaped eyes. You were absolutely perfect and our little miracle. You were born at 5:54pm on November 4, 2012, weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces, and were 19 3/4 inches long. We could not believe how tiny you were, our little peanut. We are so lucky and thankful that we get to be your parents. We can't wait to watch you grow and change each day. You are such a blessing and already have brought so much joy and love into our lives. We love you so much!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
