Snowed In

Well Rose and I have been snowed in for 3 days now! I just found out we will be home again tomorrow! I have had so much fun playing with my girl, but am starting to go a little crazy, I think I have way exceeded the amount of days you are allowed to stay in your Pjs. Our house is clean and I am way up to date on my blogging :) I have been procrastinating in the planning department for school, but thats okay because we haven't had it. I ordered our first Herrity Yearbook/ Blog book! I can't wait to get it!! I love nothing more than being home with Rose. We have had a lot of fun playing with all of her new Christmas toys and I have loved snuggling up with her.

This is a toy caddy Kevin just put together. As soon as Rose saw it she said baby baby and ran to get her baby. She proceeded to carry it around the house with her baby inside. She got very upset when I put books in it and took them right out.

Rose loves Laney! On the Ipad she kept saying Laney Laney, so I would go to the Bathrick blog and whenever she lost it she would hand it back to me saying Laney Laney. Both of us miss her so much!

Tragic Moment

I think I mentioned how in LOVE Rose is with Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, like this is the only thing she ever wants to watch and would watch it all day long if we would let her. Last night while Kevin and I were eating we put her Rose chair in our room and put it on in there. We continuously checked on her and she was always just sitting in the chair or laying on the floor eyes glued to the TV screen (I know terrible parents!) Well we usually let her watch it before she naps and at night before bed. Well this afternoon I was trying to put it on for her when she got a little aggressive with the remote trying to take it out of my hands and do it herself and well it got ERASED!!!! Lets just say its been a sad day from there. Lots of Mickey Mickey and handing me the remote. I tried Mickey Mouse Club House, but its just not the same. I finally found it online and she was able to watch a little bit of it, she always touches the computer though. Thankfully Best Buy has it in stock, so it has been purchased and is ready for us to pick up!! Thank the Lord! This little girl loves her some Mickey Mouse Christmas! I guess it will be Christmas time in the Herrity household for a while longer...

14 Months

Rose,

I initially planned on only tracking your month to month progress until you turned one, but have noticed that almost daily you are discovering something new and saying new words. So here it goes for 14 months...

Weight: 26 pounds
Clothes: Wearing mostly 18 month clothes, 24 months are still too big

Things you love:
Blankets and towels- you love to wrap your baby in them, yourself in them, and throw them up in the air. Its crazy but you play with them forever and we always have tons on the floor around the house by the end of the day
Books- you will bring daddy or me a book to read and turn around and sit in our laps. I so love this
Your Ball Pit

Mickey's Christmas- oh my this has replaced all other shows for you. You will whine saying Mickey and hand daddy or me the remote.
Babies- it is so cute to watch you rock, wrap, and feed your babies. You love all of your babies and your craddel it is so cute watching you play with them
Your hair kit- You got this for Christmas and love walking around the house holding the bag like a purse as well as brushing mommy's hair and making the blow dryer noise
Cookies- you love playing in your kitchen but especially love playing with your cookies. You love taking them off the cookie sheet and pretending to eat them
Tea Party Set- You love pouring the tea and sipping it with mommy and daddy
Piggy Bank and Puzzles
Food- All food especially sweets
Playing with your piano and musical instruments
To cuddle :) I LOVE this! For a while there I didn't think you were or would be much of one, but I am so glad I was wrong.
Your water table- you love splashing and dipping anything in the water, but only the water table and Ronny's water bowl, not your during your baths
Shoes- you love getting daddy's shoes out for him and going through your shoes
Your Lovies- You do not mind which ones but love carrying around two of them, one in each hand

Things you hate:
Bedtime!! You are okay at going down for naps, but get so upset at night
BATHS- You so hate them and won't even sit down. When I say it's bath time you run away from me and say no

New Words: I'm sure there are many more, it seems everyday you are saying more and more words and repeating what daddy and I say

New Things you have learned:
How to get down our step finally! You watched your cousin Luke do this and then you got it, you don't ever want help from mommy or daddy
You wipe your hands after you are done eating and walk to the towel to dry them
Know what you want and whine, point, or hand us something to communicate with us- you always point to our basket when you want your paci and  to your chair when you want to eat and hand us the remote when you want something on TV
Understand so much- when I tell you to lay or sit down. When I tell you we need to go in your room for a diaper change. When I ask you to get something. Its crazy how all this just started one day...
You totally remember and understand when we tell you no to something. You will still do it or go to those places but will yell no no as you are there and smile at us.
When we ask you to give us a hug or a kiss something you will and others you will tell us no
When we ask how old you are you hold up one finger
Throw mini tantrums- nothing too terrible you just lay down and scream once and look at me, you have done this a few times when I tell you no to something. It really is nothing too drastic, I'm sure they will gradually get worse as you get older, I'm hoping not though :)

Rose,
I can't express or tell you enough how much I love you and how loved you are by everyone. I love every minute I get to snuggle and play with you. I miss you so much while I am at school or even while you are sleeping. As much fun as your daddy and I had in New York I hated being away from you. I looked through pictures, watched videos, and bugged mammam to keep updating us and sending us pictures. You have completed me. I have always wanted to be a mommy, but never knew how truly amazing every moment would be. Your smiles, hugs, kisses, laughs, snuggles melt my heart. You are very active and love playing. You are almost never upset or whiney. Poppy always tells me we better stop with you, that we would never be lucky enough to have another baby as wonderful, happy, and sweet as you are. I love your sweet personality and love for all people. It has been so much fun watching you learn and say new things almost daily. I love you so much little girl! Thank you for bringing so much joy into our lives!

Rose has the best cousins! I'm so glad she was able to spend time with all of them over the holidays :)

Rose and Luke

It was so cute watching Rose and Luke together. There were lots of hugs and smiles and so much cuteness! 

And let me just say how much I love that little boy! I can't believe it was just the second time I got to spend with him. He is the sweetest, cuddliest, and so much fun! I loved every minute I got to spend with him and Laney. 

Rose knows that every time I'm on the computer I am usually doing my blog or looking at Tracie's. This week she has started pointing to the computer and saying Laney Laney and wanting 'up' to look at the computer as well. She will just look and point at Tracie's blog smiling, laughing, and saying Laney. I am so glad Rose was able to spend so much time with her cousins :)

Happy New Year!

On New Years Eve Lucas, Rachel, and Cooper came over. Rose was so darn cute with Cooper. She kept trying to cover him up with a blanket, like she does with her babies, and rocked his car seat. I can't wait to see these two grow up together. Although we did not make it to midnight, it was nice spending the evening with friends.
