Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we started at aunt Karen's house, went to church, and then went to pappaps and mammams for dinner. I have many great memories of our gatherings at my grandma and grandpas and then Karen's house as a kid on Christmas Eve. In recent years this gathering has moved to a different day, so it was nice to have it again on Christmas Eve. I love that Rose is able to spend time with and build a relationship with my cousins, aunts, uncles, and my grandma and grandpa.

Since Kevin and I have been together we do Christmas Eve with his family and then Christmas day with mine. I love our Christmas Eve! We go to mass and then back to their house for a nice sit down dinner. It is also Pap's Birthday! Rose loves her Pap SO much! She might be very tiny, but stares and laughs at him, she definitely knows who he is. I know she is very excited for her pappap and mammam to watch her when I go back to school in January.

Laney and Rose at Karen's house. They of course match! I am hoping we can continue this for years to come! I remember always matching with my cousin Morgan on Christmas.

Uncle Coley is SO Funny! Rose always smiles and laughs when he has her!

Rose and Laney love their grandma. It was very hard to get all three (including grandma) to look at the camera!

Look at the way Rose looks at her Pap!

Scotch and Sara were in Chicago this year so look who had to cut the meat. I think he did a great job considering this was his first time :)

Kevin's Wedding

This past weekend we went to my cousin Kevin's wedding. Rose drove with my mom to attend the rehearsal while Kevin and I spent the day and night in Chicago. We missed our little girl, but had so much fun! We went shopping and then out to dinner and drinks with Scotch, Sara, Kelly, and Jerry.

On Friday we drove from Chicago to the wedding. When we got to the hotel (an hour before the wedding) we realized my new black dress was left at our house. Thankfully Hayley came over prepared with three dresses and three shoes for them. She saved the day!

Rose was able to meet her great aunt Kathleen for the first time! Rose had a lot of fun dancing and cuddling with her. We are hoping she visits us sometime this summer.

Congratulations Kevin and Bethany! It was a beautiful wedding!

Santa

We took Rose to see Santa for the first time. My aunt Kathleen sent her the adorable outfit she is wearing. We thought it was perfect to visit Santa in. Rose told Santa she wanted more board books. We  have been reading over and over the Napping House and Guess How Much I Love You, two of my favorites :) I am so excited for Rose's first Christmas and starting our own traditions with our little family of 3.

One Month

Rose,
I can't believe a month has already gone by! You are so sweet and such a good baby. You only cry when you want to eat, be changed, or held. I love cuddling with you and am so thankful we get to spend everyday together (Ronny loves cuddling with us too). You smile every now and then, but it is usually followed with a cry, so we are thinking it is just gas. You are a great sleeper! It took us a couple days, but we finally got the swing of things. We have you sleeping in a rock and sleep next to our bed. Every 3 or so hours you wake up to be changed, eat, and then go back to sleep. Daddy gets the bottle ready while mommy changes and then feeds you. You love having your hands by your face (I even have an ultrasound picture with you like this). I think you are ND's lucky charm. They are undefeated and going to the national championship game, your daddy could not be more excited!

It has been amazing watching you grow and change right before our eyes. I can't imagine life without you. You have brought so many people such love and joy. Our days are going by way too fast, but I am loving every minute I get to spend with you! I Love You so much!
 Love, Mommy

Ronny is watching over you :)

You like your swing, but will only last in there about 5 minutes. You prefer to be held and to cuddle.

You are still a peanut! The baby doll is bigger than you!

Look at that frown! Your daddy makes the same face :)

Go ND!

This is what our days look like. Ronny, you, and me cuddling :)

Ronny likes to cuddle with you and daddy too.

Look at those hands, always by your face.

Rose's First Thanksgiving

Over Thanksgiving Rose was able to meet the rest of her family. She met her aunts Tracie, Colleen, Hayley, and Sara, cousins Laney, Maddi, Gabbi, Emily, and Zach, uncles Eric, Coley, Scotch, and Joe, and great grandma and grandpa Moore and Cliffrd. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful loving family. Even though Thanksgiving is crazy with three places to attend I would not have it any other way. I love being able to spend our holidays with all the people we love.

Laney wanted to hold Rose, but more so wanted to use her swing, crib, and toys with her baby dolls. I am so happy that Tracie and I have girls. I see many shopping days, nails, movies, and fun trips in our future :)

It was so fun watching Gabbi, Maddi, and Cullen hold Rose. Ever since I was little I loved babies! These three are the same. I thought for sure they would get tired and bored of her, but they didn't. They were awesome at taking turns and kept wanting and asking for more. Rose is so lucky to have three great older cousins!
