My Rose

Rose,

As we are getting ready to welcome your baby sister any day now I wanted to tell you how much I have savored and loved every minute with just you these past four years. It has been you and me and me and you, which I have absolutely loved. I am having a very difficult time knowing that it is going to change. We have been able to soak in and be there for ALL of your firsts from crawling to walking to talking to playing and going through stage after stage from Barney to Bubble Guppies to Eggs to babies barbies and dressing up and being able to super spoil you, which we love doing  :) You are the sweetest and most joyful little girl. I love how happy you always are and how happy you make me. Cuddling and playing with you are always my favorite parts of my day. I can't wait to now see you be a big sister and how much Lucy will love you and how much you will love her. She is so lucky to have you and will always look up to the amazing girl that you are. I love you so much little girl! You are my whole world. Thank you so much for being the best little sidekick :)

Getting Ready

The other night Rose grabbed this book and snuggled on the couch to do some reading all on her own. I started taking some pictures and my sassy girl said- "Are you serious taking pictures of me right now" We are all getting excited for Miss Lucy to arrive, the count down has begun! 3 weeks until she is due to arrive :)

Weekend with Olivia

We had so much fun with Olivia last weekend! I love Eric and Amber, but Olivia loved us a lot more when they were not here. She was so sweet and loved playing with Rose. She even would come up to me and sit on my lap, which would never happen if her mom and dad were there. The only time I saw her get a little bit upset was when we took her out of the pool. Eric and Amber are so lucky with one super happy sweet girl! We already Miss sweet Olivia and hope she comes back soon to stay for another weekend :) 

Treasure Hunts

I love Rose's little imagination. She took mammam's placemats and said they were her treasure mats. We took turns hiding treasure and going on treasure hunts using the mats. 

Oh So Thoughtful

I came home today to find some of my favorite desserts- mini delights! I always love sweets, but especially this pregnancy have been obsessed with them. I have baked more the past month than I think I have my whole life, and of course eaten every bit of what I have made- chocolate cake, white cake, tons of batches of cookie bars, and brownies. I love them anytime of the day, but especially for breakfast with my coffee. I am living it up now and keep telling Kevin it is over once Miss Lucy comes.  It was so so thoughtful and sweet of Kevin today and totally made my day, he also made Miss Rose super happy as well :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

For Kevin's birthday we traveled to Merrillville with him to watch the Penn football game. Rose loved watching her daddy and of course made a friend to play with at the game. Saturday Kevin and I went on our traditional Ruth Chris dinner to celebrate him. We had a great weekend! We love you Kevin and hope you had a great birthday!

Rose loved going on the field after the game.
