Rose loves to color, paint, and play with stickers. She always says Minnie Minnie (referring to the stickers) or will ask to color. I love that I have a little crafter on my hands :)

IKEA
Yesterday Kevin and I went to Ikea in Schaumburg to get furniture for the basement. We really wanted a sectional for down there but were worried about getting it down the stairs. With Ikea you put it together so we thought it would be perfect. Well we found one we liked and a lot of other things as well. After we checked out and got our couch we headed to the car to start loading. We had a total of 7 boxes to try and fit in Kevin's car. After 20 minutes of frustration we thought we were going to have to start returning items. We then started taking the couch pieces out of 3 boxes and began stuffing the car with the cushions. Somehow after another 25 minutes we got it all packed in. I wish I would have taken pictures of the process, but we were just so determined the whole time to make it work. We definitely had a great time even in the whole packing of the car process, there was a lot of laughing and teamwork :) On our way home we stopped to meet our friends Jerry and Kelly's baby, Leo. He was so sweet and I loved holding an itty bitty baby!
It was a wonderful day and I am so thankful for my mom and John for watching Rose for us. It was so nice to get away for the day and be able to spend it together.
Now let the putting things together begin!

St. Patrick's Day Craft
Rose created the first bunting for our huge chalkboard :) She painted green shamrocks and loved every minute of it. She kept saying more more to the paint and shamrocks. I loved how it turned out and the fact that my little miss created it :)

BASEMENT!
After a long awaited year our basement is FINISHED!! We don't know why we took so long, but are so happy with how it turned out. We added what will be an amazing playroom for Miss Rose and over 700 square feet to our house. We still have some touching up to do, IKEA shopping, and moving of toys/furniture, but here is how it has turned out so far :)
