Then There Were 4

Introducing Our Lucy Kay

Our newest little princess made her arrival on 9/29/16 at 6:50 pm. She weighed in at 7 pounds 15 ounces and 20 inches in length. It was a very magical day and the greatest experience!

I went to my 40 week doctor's appointment  at 9:50 and 2 hours later my contractions started. They were pretty intense and painful making me go to the ground to sit and scream a bit or a lot, but after my epidural was in it was smooth sailing. They broke my water when I was 7cm and 20 minutes later I was ready to push. I pushed for maybe 2 contractions and out she came looking just like her big sister. Lucy came out screaming at first then sucking like crazy on her little hands and downed her first bottle. We are so in love with new little girl!

Kevin and my mom did a great job taking pictures, I am so thankful for them to always remember this special day.
So thankful for Kevin. He is amazing- my biggest supporter these past 9 months and especially on this magical day.

Little Baker

Pap knew my need for sweets during this pregnancy and requested a German Chocolate Cake. Rose was so excited to go get the ingredients and bake the cake together. I thought she would lose interest quick, but she did not, she helped make the whole thing. We had so much fun and the cake was so yummy!

Hello Fall

I feel every year we go from one day to dressing Rose in dresses and the next to pants and long sleeve shirts. Fall is here and so is the cooler weather. Here is my cutie all comfy in sweats and a sweatshirt.

Come on Lucy

We can't wait to meet and snuggle you!

OCD

One thing I have LOVED about this pregnancy, others may have not, but is being a clean freak and a little OCD. Since we got back from our vacation in July I have tackled every closet and drawer and organized like crazy. I scrub the kitchen floors at least once a week, vacuum daily, dust, sweep, and just constantly make sure everything is put away. I also chalk it up to finally getting my house the way I want it after moving in last year, but we will see if I can keep it up once Lucy comes.

Fall Decorating

Rose and I have had so much fun decorating for fall/Halloween. Last year we were just moving in and getting settled and did not decorate for fall. It is so fun and cute to see how much Rose loves and gets excited for holiday decorating. She put the wheat on the mantle today and said now we need to stand back and make sure it looks good, oh I've created a monster! I have a few things ordered to add to the mix, but think its a pretty good start. If it were up to me I would totally skip the halloween and just do fall, but I think I would have one sad girl.
