So Happy

One of the many things I love about Rose is how happy, smiley, and sweet she always is to everyone she is around. She has brought so much love and joy into our lives!

I love this look!

School :) :(

I don't know what to think about school this year! I absolutely love teaching, second grade, and my school/co-workers; I just wish I could spend all day with my sweet girl. My favorite part each year is setting up my room. I really love it this year! I went with black, pink, green, and blue along with a chalkboard like look and some zebra thrown in here and there. Rose, Shelby, and I went in for a couple of hours once a week and have it pretty much done. Shelby was such a HUGE help! I am so thankful she was able to help with Rose and my room. Next week there will be no school, just Rose and mommy time! I will add more pictures when it is totally complete on the 13th, but here is a sneak peek...

My little helper snacking on some cheerios :)

Loving my writing center :)

My Word Wall

Crawling in the hallway

I do not know how many kiddos I will have yet, but this will display their 'masterpieces'...I;m obsessed with making banners :)

STUCK!

I was not kidding when I said this one keeps me on my toes. She is ALWAYS on the go and getting into something. Today she some how crawled under her seat and had trouble getting out. I don't even know how she fit through in the first place! She tried crawling out and then standing up, but these did not work, surprisingly though she did not get upset. I had to lay her down then slide her out. I still can't believe how active my Rose is!

Someone help me!

Standing up to get out...

Another fun play date with Jane :)

Rose and Jane :)

It was so fun getting together with Brigid and Jane! You wouldn't know it, but Jane is 6 months older than Rose. They both are in 18 month clothes! Rose loved the swing, climbing on the steps, trying to eat mulch, and walking around the lake at ND. We can't wait to get together again next week!

My little monster was yelling with excitement and scared sweet Jane!

It was such a perfect day and even a little cool, but the headband gave my little tanner a tan line!

Walking like crazy with help. Any month now we will have a walker!

My Love!

My Little Climber

Oh my does Rose keep me on my toes! She is everywhere! Crawling, standing, and climbing! I have tried to block her in the family room, but just today she figured out how to crawl under her saucer to get through. She easily climbs on her chair and on steps. I can't believe how active this little girl is!

Trying to help mommy get all of the pencils sharpened for school :)

She has especially loved her paci these days!

Ice Cream!

Rose loves food, all food! But like her mommy especially loves sweets! We have been sharing ice cream sandwiches about daily and my little miss screams and cries when we have finished it. Check out the chocolate left on her face and how happy she is about eating ice cream!
Check out her tan line from the other day, from a headband of course!

Books!

Rose LOVES books! Her two favorites are Peekaboo Baby and Wheels on the Bus (which we of course sing) When I start singing the Wheels on the Bus, no matter where Rose is, she starts crawling towards the book. She does the same thing to Peekaboo Baby. This is about the only time I can hold her attention throughout the day. To my surprise Rose actually pays attention to the whole book. The other day I was reading a book for school, a sandcastle dragon book, and I read it out loud to her. I thought for sure she would crawl away and start climbing on something as always, but she actually stayed and listened to it. I am loving her love for books :)

Loves looking at herself :)

Peekaboo Baby!! She gets so excited!

Crib Training

So my sweet girl is FINALLY/JUST now sleeping in her crib and through the night! We had her in a bassinet next to our bed until she was six months. Then we tried to have her sleep in her crib and some nights it worked while others she ended up in our bed. The last month has been crazy with spending the night at my mom's (while Kevin was out of town for a wedding, his brother's bachelor party, and work), being in South Carolina, and then Delaware. The first night we got back from vacation Kevin lowered the crib and we tried this whole crib training thing. The first night she stood up and cried then ended up falling down and getting even more upset. It broke our hearts and she ending up back in bed with us. On Tuesday I tried really hard at nap time to have her sleep in the crib. I got smart and put her sleep sack on her. This made it difficult for her to stand up. Instead she sat up and cried. I went in 2 times laid her back down and said its ni-night time. IT WORKED!! Since then nap time and bed time have been in her crib! Each day it seems to get better and better. Today she laid right down for a nap and talked herself to sleep. I know its only been 3 days, but it seems to be working and all 3 of us are very excited :)

Eight Wonderful Months!!

Rose from June 4th to July 4th you...

Started crawling! The official date was June 8th...It was so fun to see your progression you started scooting, would do downward facing dog, and then one day your were off and crawling all over!
You pull yourself up and love standing. You pull yourself up on the couch and on mommy
Say dada, daddy, nana (for mommy), hi
Whine for mommy when others have you
Weigh 22 pounds
Put your paci back in your mouth :)
Still HATE getting changed and dressed as well as going in your car seat!
Give kisses even to your stuffed animals
Wave hi and bye-bye
Love to mimic us, we maybe crazy but we think you said hi daddy and answer us with ok at times. I love hearing your little voice and the new words you are saying.
Are wearing 12 month and some 18 month clothes! You have the BEST hand me downs from Laney and Natalie
Are still eating 6 ounces every 5 or so hours
Are  loving your cereal and baby food-you are eating cereal for breakfast and your baby food for lunch and dinner
This month we traveled like crazy so your sleep schedule was a little messed up, you spent most nights in bed with us.
Still got up at least once a night
Do not love your stroller...it is hit or miss you either love it or hate it!
Still love watching Barney and Mickey. We watched Barney on our way to Delaware and South Carolina.
You love listening to Barney and Mickey in the car. We also sing and dance to them at home while we are playing.
Pull my hair while I'm feeding you
EVERYTHING goes into your mouth including sand and dirt.
Reach your arms out if you want up or to go to someone
Get so excited to see mommy and daddy in the morning or after work. You smile right away and swing your arms with excitement.
When you are sleepy you will cuddle right up to me and fall asleep
Cry and get very cranky when you are sleepy or hungry
Went to the beach for the first time! Loved the water and sand
Clap your hands
Love to be sung to, especially when  I am getting you to sleep
Get so excited for Barney or Mickey's intro song. It is hilarious to watch...you kick your legs, scream, smile, and wave your arms up and down
Yell at me when I take you away from something you want, but shouldn't be getting into
Have noticed the outlets and love cords...again you love all things that aren't toys!
Crawl to mommy or daddy and put your arms up to be held
Started eating real food...You love donuts, ice cream, and bread.

Getting so excited :)

Yelling/Talking to mommy

You love this ball! You can throw it and chase it.

You Love Ronny! You love chasing and petting him :)

Rose,

The past month has been the most wonderful month, and one of the best ones in my life! I have felt like a stay at home mom and have spent about every minute with you! I love watching and playing with you as you discover new things each day. You have the sweetest little personality. I love your laugh, smile, sweet voice, the way you hug and hold on to me, your sloppy kisses, watching you crawl, everything about you! We have been so blessed and so lucky to have you! You bring so much joy into our lives!

I love you!

Love,
Mommy

Delaware Vacation Part 3

We had the best time in Delaware and were so sad to see our vacation end! Rose loved every minute of it. She had so much playing with her cousins and loved the beach. She was busy busy busy! She crawled all over and was not scared of the water. It was so cute to watch her splash and get so excited for each wave. I loved spending this week with our little family. We have been so blessed with such a fun sweet girl! I can't wait to bring her back next year.

Here is Rose as we made our way down the hill towards the beach. She would get so excited smiling, screaming, and swinging her arms up and down.

Daddy taking a walk with Rose, getting her to sleep.

Loving her baby pool. She loved crawling in and out of it.

Reading on the beach.

The girls :)
