South Carolina :)

Rose and I had so much fun in South Carolina! I am so glad Tracie and I are both teachers and are able to do this EVERY summer! Even though traveling stinks (12 hour car ride with 3 young kids and delayed/canceled flights) it was well worth it to spend a week with family. This was the longest Tracie and I have spent time together from her South Bend trip to my South Carolina trip. As usual it was so nice shopping, talking, and hanging out with the kids together. I miss her so much and wish we lived closer! 

I can't believe how much Laney loves Rose! She constantly wanted to help me feed, change, and give her a bath. Laney loved playing with Rose in the playroom and in Rose's play area. We miss Laney so much and are looking forward to face timing with this silly girl!

Rose also had so much fun playing with Aunt Shelby. Shelby was such a big help watching the kids whenever we needed her to. It was fun spending the week with both of my sisters! 

Here are the kids during the car ride. They all did such a good job! Many movies/shows were watched, snacks eaten, and barney music listened to.

Mommy's Girl!

Last week while we were at the zoo Rose was not interested in riding in the stroller, but wanted me to hold her the whole time! I wanted her to ride in the stroller in between exhibits and then get her out to look at the animals, but she did not like this idea. She would scream and cry until I took her back out. Tracie got out her baby bjorn so I could carry her with me all day long. We tried her facing out and she screamed and kicked so we turned her around facing me. She was so excited about this, smiling, laughing, and giving me kisses all day long! 

The Zoo

Last Sunday we all drove 2 hours to the Zoo. This was the biggest Zoo I've ever been to! We walked up many hills to view each animal. I loved the seals and dinosaur exhibit. Rose loved looking at all of the animals and hanging out with her cousins :)

Discovery Place Kids

Rose LOVED this children's museum! It had a section for children 0-3 years old which is where we hung out the whole time. She had a ball playing on the play mats and looking at herself in the mirror. She kept crawling over to the mirror smiling and laughing at herself and trying to stand up. Next we played at the water table. She had a great time splashing in the water. She really soaked herself, but she had so much fun! I could have taken her here everyday we were in South Carolina, it was my favorite thing we did!

Lake Day

Last week we spent the day at the lake. It was fun relaxing, talking with family, and watching the kids play. Rose loved sitting in her chair and playing with her toys. She crawled around on a blanket, but tried eating the sand any second she got. We are looking forward to more beach days in Delaware :)
