Our Talkative Girl

I got the best surprise today at work when I saw a text message with this video! Mammam took it and made my day! Rose has been so smiley and talkative lately. My favorite time is our mornings. She will smile and talk like crazy and I am so thankful I get to see it before I am off to work.

Snow Day

I had quite the surprise this morning when Kevin came in and told me we did not have school! I was so happy and excited to spend another day cuddled with Rose. Besides taking 2 naps so far we have played, went through Laney's clothes, and of course took pictures. I finally took pictures of her nursery. It only took for Rose to be 2 months to finally hang things on the wall. I am still deciding what else to put up, I am thinking maybe some canvases of her?? 

I am so excited Tracie is having a boy, and in less than a month! Because it is a boy, look at all the clothes my little Rose gets!

Kevin was quite excited to find this! We will have such a cute cheerleader next season!

Nursery Pictures

The Angel on the end was a present from my mom after I delivered Rose. It is a Jim Shores and means so much to me.

I love the rocker! One of my favorite things to do is rock and read Rose books. 

I love the picture of Rose and Kevin in the hospital as well as the one of Rose and Laney. I even snuck in a picture of Tracie and me when we were little.

This picture is blurry, but it is the first time Rose has smiled at a toy, and not just us. I am glad I caught it even though its blurry.

Loving Rose

I'm sure you can tell, but I'm so in love with this girl! She is just the sweetest thing! It is crazy how much she grows and changes daily. Rose used to eat, sleep, and cuddle and that was about it. She is now smiling and talking all the time. She will eat, stay up for an hour or so, then whine telling me she is ready for a nap. After holding and rocking her she falls right to sleep. Another new thing Rose loves doing is sucking on her hands. She prefers it to her paci.

This weekend we went out to dinner with the Herritys, went to church, laid around, visited with my dad and grandma, and cuddled with Rose. While at my grandma's house my dad could not believe what a good baby Rose is. She was up looking around and smiling the whole time we were there. Her grandpa even rocked her to sleep. 

I have been back to work for 2 weeks now and am looking forward to spring break and the summer. I hate being away from my baby girl! I used to think school school all the time, and now it is very difficult! I love my 24 kiddos, but am having a hard time grading and planning at home. All I want to do is cuddle with Rose! I'm glad I do love teaching, loving my job and people I work with has made it a bit easier.

I got in the mail new bows I ordered from Etsy and I'm in love with them! I can't stop taking pictures of Rose in them. Here was our weekend in pictures, mostly just our little photo shoots.

Hats

Two of my students' moms made Rose a hat. I promised I would take pictures to show them. As you can see she was not in the best mood for taking pictures. Look at her cheeks! They have gotten so chubby the past week or so. 

Go ND!

Its a little late but I wanted to share pictures of Miss Rose on the night of the national championship. I had her wear her 2T jersey from busha and her 2T national championship T-shirt from her great aunt Karen. Although the game was not as close as we would have liked we are glad they finally had a great season! We are looking forward to dressing Rose in more ND gear and taking her tailgating next year! 

2 Months

Rose is 2 months old! I can't believe how fast this time has flown by! This has been a very busy month with Kevin's wedding, Christmas, and our poor girl was sick for the first time. After Christmas Rose got a cold/cough. It was awful to watch her cough and cough! She would then grunt after her coughs in frustration. She thankfully did not have a fever or infection. Hopefully she will feel better soon!

This has been such a wonderful month and I am so sad it is over! I have enjoyed every minute I have spent with you over my maternity leave and am so sad to be going back to school. I loved so much cuddling, dancing, listening to Christmas music, rocking, reading, and just being with you each day. I love most when you stare, smile, and talk to me. My heart just melts! You are absolutely perfect and the sweetest baby girl. We are so incredibly lucky to have you in our lives. Happy 2 months Miss Rose I love you so much!
